Both of them have achieved great success in their respective fields, and the 25-year-old American tennis star is ready to display his incredible tennis abilities in New York courts during the US Open. While his girlfriend, Morgan Riddle, enjoys the US Open, she recently talked about her connection with the City that Never Sleeps.

Riddle recently highlighted how her teenage years served as motivation. It gave her the ambition of residing in New York while appreciating the city’s style more enjoyable, to the point where she began referring to the city as her home.

Taylor Fritz’s girlfriend shares how she fell in love with New York

As the American tennis player is currently getting ready to play the Canadian Open just before the US Open, his girlfriend has been a constant support for him. She does not play tennis but shares a great love for the sport. Riddle was a New Yorker most of her teenage life before she adopted the globetrotting lifestyle of being a tennis player’s girlfriend.

She recently appeared on the Making Moves with TK podcast, where she talked about how there were a lot of movies that inspired her to go to New York.

Riddle said, “I watched Ugly Betty when I was like 14 years old and fell in love with New York. I feel like a lot of people for them, it’s like watching ‘Sex in the City’ or ‘Gossip Girl’ or something. But for me, I watched Ugly Betty, and I was like, I have to go there. So then I went to college in New York.”

Even though she is a Minnesota native, she has spent a lot of time in New York because she wanted to enjoy the lifestyle that she had seen on the big screen as a child. Nevertheless, even after spending her teenage years in New York, she was just like any other Minnesota native who was not aware of the sport before getting to know Fritz.

Morgan Riddle had no knowledge of tennis

Last year, in an interview with Josefina Gurevich and Shravya Pant on the Hold On To Your Racquets podcast, Riddle said she hardly knew tennis before meeting the 25-year-old American tennis player. She also talked about how, just like other people from Minnesota, she was also into hockey but had no knowledge about playing a racket sport.

In addition, she was so unaware of the sport that she was not even familiar with stalwarts like Roger Federer, Rafael Nadal, and Novak Djokovic. But now she is one of those people who has been quite open about loving the sport and making a genuine effort to make other people fall in love with tennis.
