It’s not easy being an Andy Murray fan. The Briton has a history of dragging early rounds of the slams to five sets thereby playing with his fans’ hearts. His recent Australian Open encounters grabbed the headlines where he grinded out five-set victories against Matteo Berrettini and Thanasi Kokkinakis. While his fans went through a range of emotions, Murray seemed to have enjoyed his time out there.
Among his fans was English actor Tom Hiddleston. Recently, the actor spoke about his own emotions while watching the former world number 1 grind against the youngsters with a ‘metal hip’. Despite being a bigger Rafael Nadal fan, it was Andy Murray who sent shivers down Hiddleston’s spine this year.

Having the time of his life while playing long five-setters is something you would expect from Andy Murray. However, another athlete present there seconded the three-time major champion.
Former English Soccer Star agrees with Andy Murray.
Jill Scott, the recently retired soccer star agreed with Murray’s statement here. She felt that as a competitor the 1-0 wins were much more memorable than the easy 4-0 wins and hence understood where Murray was coming from. A routine straight-set win wouldn’t really grab the headlines the way those five-set encounters did.
