The Czech tennis sensation is all set to face Novak Djokovic in the fourth round of the Australian Open. This is his second-best run in the tournament so far after he advanced to the quarterfinals in 2023. And while his adventures on the court have taken center stage on his Instagram account, his off-court activities are not promptly visible. Reportedly, the star player dated Viktorie Wojcikova for quite some time. However, it seems that the couple is no longer together. Lehecka, since then, has not opened up about any new romantic alliance as of yet.

While exact details about when and how Lehecka started dating Wojcikova are not known, the couple’s romance started to bloom somewhere around 2019. Remember, Viktorie is also a tennis player who played at the ITF Level besides representing Northwestern State University’s tennis team, where she was pursuing a psychology degree. Back then, she frequently posted pictures with the ATP star, but the frequency started to reduce after June 2023, signaling perhaps that the couple might have split.

Since then, Wojcikova has been a participant in the fourth season of the reality series Love Island. There she met Tadeas Vilhelm, and the pair soon started dating. However, just a couple of days ago, she announced her split with Vilhelm, which further makes it evident that her romantic alliance with Lehecka came to an end long ago.

On the other hand, Lehecka has remained tight-lipped about his personal life, with not much being available in the public domain. While he recently posted pictures from the Maldives with sportsperson Lucie Neumannová with a  “❤️,” nothing can be confirmed as of yet. 

Tennis-wise, Czechia is preparing for a tough match on Sunday. But true to his nature, he is beaming with confidence and is ready to take the Djokovic challenge head-on. In fact, he seems more than ready to take on the legend with an eye watering record of 10 AO titles.

Jiri Lehecka might just be 23-year-old but his determination to succeed is immense. And it is probably for this determination that he is confident in his abilities to outshine even the 24-time Grand Slam champion, Novak Djokovic. Sounds courageous, and Lehecka is definitely ready.

Speaking about facing the indomitable Serb on Sunday, Lehecka revealed that after playing against him at the United Cup one year ago, he has found his own takeaways. “That he is just a normal person, he’s not a god,” Lehecka said. “That a guy like him can also do a lot of mistakes but, at the same time, is a very experienced player who knows perfectly when to play what. He will use every chance he has to beat you so it will be a super tough match, but you never know what’s going to happen.” While Djokovic won the United Cup encounter 6-1, 6-7(3), 6-1, the spirited Lehecka is hopeful about turning the tables this time.

“I already trust in my game and in the way we worked in the past two, three weeks here in Australia,” Lehecka said. He then added, “I’m very confident about the fact that if I’m going to show my best tennis, why shouldn’t I beat him?” As the match unfolds later in the day, it will be interesting to see if the rising star can deliver the biggest upset of the season and advance to the quarterfinals. Or will it be the same old story?
