The seven-time Wimbledon champion is unquestionably one of the most successful players at SW19. After registering his 30th consecutive victory at Wimbledon, Djokovic reflected on his special relationship with the Centre Court.
The 23-time major champion said in his on-court interview, “Centre Court has been the most special court, without a doubt, for our tennis history. It sounds like a cliche but I truly try to marvel and enjoy every moment on this court. It?s a huge privilege, especially at this age and stage of my career to try and push forward with the young guns. I don’t know how far and long that is going to take but so far so good. We have a very romantic and special relationship, this court and I.”

Novak Djokovic was born to break and create records. His Centre Court record has to be up there with one of the best in the sport. The Serb has not lost a single match on this court since the 2013 Wimbledon final loss to Andy Murray. Following the defeat, the Serb went on to win six of the next eight Wimbledon tournaments.
His only defeats in that time period came against Sam Querrey and Tomas Berdych, both on Court 1 in 2016 and 2017, respectively. So, Djokovic and the Centre Court indeed have a ‘special relationship’.
