Launched in 2020, the highly anticipated tennis tournament Ultimate Tennis Showdown is once again going to commence with some of the prominent names from the ATP Tour featuring in it. Apart from traditional tennis tournaments like the US Open, Wimbledon Open, French Open, and Australian Open, the Ultimate Tennis Showdown has turned out to be a great entertainer for tennis fans. Notably, the UTS is a brainchild idea of Serena Williams‘ former coach, Patrick Mouratoglou, who intends to bring revolutionary changes to the sport.

Now, if reports are true, then after conquering Europe, the UTS featuring Taylor Fritz, Nick Kyrgios, and a few others, is set to entertain USA tennis fans. Notably, the UTS, led by Mouratoglou, has its own unique and innovative rules that distinguish it from the traditional format of tennis. Talking about the league’s new season, Mouratoglou could not control but expressed his excitement for the big event.

While sharing his excitement about the tournament, Patrick Mouratoglou confirmed the participants list in the caption of his social media post. The French tennis coach said, “We waited much too long! UTS is finally back and what a come-back! @ultimate_tennis_showdown. In L.A.  from the 21st of July til the 23rd, with an incredible lineup, be ready for the biggest entertainment tennis has experienced!”

He added, “@k1ngkyrg1os @taylor_fritz @dieschwartzman and many other tennis superstars will fight to become the UTS winner in the most ground-breaking format. See you there!”

When talking about the format of the league, there is a shorter, action-packed format that also provides a bigger stage for the players to express themselves on the court more. Furthermore, the participants are also allowed to converse with coaches and commentators on the sidelines.

As mentioned earlier, the league is set to take place in Los Angeles for the first stage of the 2023 season. And it will commence right after the Wimbledon Championships in July this year. The UTS will feature some of the top players from the men’s circuit who will be adorning the hard courts of the tournament. The list includes the likes of Nick Kyrgios, Taylor Fritz, and Diego Schwartzman, as they will compete for the title in the round-robin format of the ground-breaking event.
