But he was defeated in his first match at the Mexican Open. However, he quickly overcame that loss with two successive wins at the Indian Wells before heading on to this nail-biting encounter. Alex De Minaur on the other hand, got defeated in the fourth round match at the AO this year at the hands of Andrey Rublev in a five-set thriller. After that, he made it to the finals in Rotterdam but then lost to Jannik Sinner in the finals. However, De Minaur got eliminated from the Los Cabos Open after facing a defeat at the R16. He made a strong comeback after that and defeated Casper Ruud in the finals of the Mexican to clinch the title in Acapulco.

On the other hand, De Minaur has leveled up his game in the last few years. He has reached the finals of the tournaments six times including two title triumphs in 2023. The Australian has a 15-4 record this season and would love to extend his winning run.
