Additionally, Djokovic’s inclusion in the draw didn’t go down well with a fan, saying, “As many have mentioned, Novak Djokovic pretends to be some “champion” for lower-ranked players and fights for their interests, yet refuses to withdraw and therefore impacts main draw entry lists and qualifying draws. His only interest is his own.”

Amid confusion over the Serb’s participation in the tournament, a fan said, “Djokovic’s name is in the Indian Wells table even if no one knows if he has permission to enter the United States or if he will participate in the tournament. You could call it rehearsal comedy if it weren’t tragic.”

See the pattern?
In 2020, Novax dodged questions about who’d pay the cost to form the PTPA
Now, he refuses to pay the cost he said he would to continue his anti-vax nonsense
Like all narcissists, Novax expects to do whatever the hell he wants while someone else pays the price pic.twitter.com/ItDvwktk4g

What did the tournament organizers say over Djokovic’s participation?
The BNP Paribas Open released a statement on Djokovic’s participation. The tournament organizers said that since he is on the entry list, Djokovic would be placed into the draw. Further, they were in communication with his team.
However, it is unclear if he will participate in the event by getting CDC approval to enter the country. The tournament organizers will provide more information on this in the future as things become clear.
