The official Indian Wells 2022 men’s singles draw is out. The top players in the world will battle it out in the maiden ATP Masters 1000 tournament of the season. A notable absentee is a five-time champion, Roger Federer, who has been out of action for over eight months now.
Apart from Federer, Dominic Thiem is also missing owing to injuries. Novak Djokovic might be in action after missing the year-opening Grand Slam. However, it has not been determined if he will participate in the event by getting CDC approval to enter the country. Meanwhile, Alexander Zverev will be present too, despite him being under the Acapulco suspension radar.

BNP Paribas Open 2022 men’s singles draw
Australian Open 2022 finalists, Rafael Nadal and Daniil Medvedev have been drawn in the same half. The two might potentially clash in what promises to be a mouth-watering semifinal clash. However, Medvedev might have to overcome some tough opponents before that. He will potentially face Gael Monfils in the third round, Stefanos Tsitsipas in the quarterfinals.
Further, Rafael Nadal will open his campaign against a qualifier or Sebastian Korda of the US. He might face the Canadian, Denis Shapovalov in the fourth round. In the quarterfinals, he will potentially face eighth seed, Casper Ruud.
In the bottom half of the draw, Novak Djokovic has been handed a tough path in a bid to win his sixth Indian Wells title. He will face the winner of David Goffin vs Jordan Thompson’s match in the second round. Moreover, Andy Murray, who has been handed a wildcard entry, might be his opponent in the third round. Further, Djokovic might potentially square off against in-form, Andrey Rublev, in the quarterfinals.
