Recently, a Tennis Update Twitter channel shared the final draw list for all four quarters of the tournament. Although it looked captivating at first glance, there were a lot of mistakes in it, making tennis fans upset and unhappy at the same time.

A lot of tennis fans reacted to the draw post and highlighted how the positioning of Grigor Dimitrov after the first round and even Taylor Fritz‘s position were not guaranteed in the first round itself. Looking into that, a fan dwelled on how, while a lot of seeded players were in the bottom half of the chart and not guaranteed even to receive a bye in the first round, Mannarino, who eventually lost, received a bye for the same.

In addition, a Twitter user made fun of the French tennis player, Adrian Mannarino, and highlighted how he might be out of the tournament even before it began.

Subsequently, a fan highlighted how they don’t even check the graphics before releasing them to the public.

Following that, another one talked about how just looking at the graphics of the drawing has given her a headache.

Not only that, a fan pointed out the inconsistency in the chart and even questioned the creator regarding the same.

However, there are a lot of takeaways from the draw. Recently, the official website of the tournament shared some of the biggest takeaways ATP tennis players can learn from the draw. But in other news, Novak Djokovic will play in the event and looks to stop the Indian Wells curse!

Djokovic stands tall in the quarter-finals

Novak Djokovic’s route to the Indian Wells quarterfinals is more likely now that he has a first-round bye. This gives him enough of an opportunity to display his extraordinary skill on the tennis court. It’s astonishing to see that, despite his incredible accomplishments, Djokovic hasn’t made it to the Indian Wells quarterfinals since winning his fifth championship in 2016.

There is more intrigue surrounding his comeback because he hasn’t participated in the competition since losing to Philipp Kohlschreiber in the third round in 2019. Potential quarterfinal games versus Hurkacz or Casper Ruud present interesting challenges as the tournament reaches its climax. Whether Djokovic breaks this trend and makes it to the quarterfinals this year is still to be seen, but it would make for an intriguing story.
