During the ongoing Indian Wells Masters, the Danish tennis player tried to mock the 37-year-old Swiss star with his disrespectful comments. As Rune is being criticized by the entire tennis community, the controversial Aussie player has stepped forward to his defense.

After his defeat, Holger Rune tried to remind him about their ATP Paris Masters controversy where he was advised “not to act like a baby” by the Swiss tennis legend.

During their unpleasant exchange at the net, the Danish tennis player asked Wawrinka whether he had something to say to him, considering their previous season’s drama. Later, Rune was under fire from the fans who slammed him for his disparaging behavior with the 3-time Grand Slam champion. The ongoing drama between the two ATP players has also caught the attention of the bad boy of tennis who has now stepped in on the matter.

While the entire tennis community is criticizing Rune, Nick Kyrgios has taken his side on social media. It looks the controversial tennis star hasn’t forgotten about his feud with Wawrinka that happened during the Canadian Open. They were involved in a locker room drama after Kyrgios made some remarks about his then-girlfriend, Donna Vekic.

Now, after a long time, Kyrgios has tried to reignite that drama via his recent social media post. He shared a screenshot of Wawrinka and Rune on his Instagram story with the caption, “Hahahaha yeah all good when you win… typical. @holgerrune with you my brother.”
