Taylor Fritz, on the other hand, is coming to the Indian Wells Open after his first-round defeat at the Mexican Open. Entering his home tournament as the 12th seed, the American tennis player has managed to overcome the likes of Alejandro Tabilo and Sebastian Baez to reach the round of 16 match.

The R16 match between Holger Rune and Taylor Fritz at the BNP Paribas Open will also mark their second meeting on the ATP circuit. In their previous meeting at the 2023 Miami Open, the American player defeated Rune in a straight-set game and currently has a 1-0 lead in their H2H record.
