The round of 32 fixtures of the BNP Paribas Open featured some exciting outdoor hardcourt showdowns at the Indian Wells Tennis Garden. The former Grand Slam champion Daniil Medvedev will square off against the former world No. 3 player, Grigor Dimitrov, in the R16 of the Indian Wells Masters.

The Russian tennis star started his campaign by defeating the Spaniard Roberto Carballés Baena in straight sets, 6-2, 6-3. In the round of 32, Medvedev then overcame his American opponent, Sebastian Korda, in a three-set thriller.

Grigor Dimitrov, on the other hand, is coming to the Indian Wells Open after his semifinal finish at the ATP Rotterdam. Entering the tournament as the 13th seed, the Bulgarian tennis player has brushed aside the likes of Alexandre Müller and Adrian Mannarino to reach the round of 16 match.

Medvedev vs Dimitrov: Head-to-Head
The R16 match between Daniil Medvedev and Grigor Dimitrov at the Indian Wells Masters will also mark their tenth meeting on the ATP circuit. In their previous meeting at the 2023 Paris Masters, the Bulgarian player defeated Medvedev with a score of 6-3, 6-7, 7-6. However, in their overall H2H record, it is the former Grand Slam champion who currently has a 6-3 lead.
