In the build-up to the ATP Finals semi-final clash against Novak Djokovic, Carlos Alcaraz made a huge claim when compared to his prior encounter with the Serbian at Roland Garros. “Probably I’m stronger mentally. Right now, comparing to Paris, I’ve spoken about dealing with the pressure, dealing with tough, tough moments. In Paris I didn’t deal with the pressure. I learned about that situation. Then came Wimbledon, then came Cincinnati. It was a really, really good match. I think facing someone like Novak, you have to stay strong mentally & deal with the pressure that he puts on you in every ball, in every point. I think I learned a lot about that. I think I’m ready to face him tomorrow,” said Alcaraz while talking about his match with the Serbian.

Reflecting on his past encounters, particularly the Paris match where pressure had him, Alcaraz said the journey he undertook has brought significant changes in him and he can produce a good match against him. As we see, he is also aware of Djokovic’s ability to exert pressure.
Thus, ahead of the much-awaited encounter, Carlos Alcaraz is all set, and with a positive mindset, he is pretty much confident of defeating the Serbian and making his way into the finals of the ATP Finals.
