Despite many ongoing clashes in the French Open, the tennis world is focused only on one. Rafael Nadal is facing Alexander Zverev, a nightmare match-up for the Spanish player and his fans. Their recent forms tip the favor of Zverev as he comes in after winning the Italian Open. However, Jannik Sinner believes that victory can go to anyone.

With the rain incessantly pouring in Paris, the organizers were forced to close the roof of the Philippe-Chatrier court. The outdoor clay match between Zverev and Nadal became an indoor match. As the world scrambles to predict the winner, Jannik Sinner, who sat down with Tennis Channel after his victory over Chris Eubankssaid, “Yes I’m gonna watch it. It’s gonna be a very interesting match. The situation is a bit different because it’s colder today. The ball isn’t bouncing that much. Also, they’re playing indoors.

With different conditions, he believes, “But it’ll be interesting… Rafa won so many times here. He knows every single spot on the court. Sascha won Rome. He’s ready. Let’s see. I’m not good at predictions.” Sinner’s comment is one of the few that can be taken seriously out of many, as he beat Chris Eubanks 6-3, 6-3, 6-4 hours ago.

While Nadal is giving Zverev a good challenge, it is difficult to see a situation where he wins the match and gets to play further. Although Sinner believes victory could go to anyone, the former coach of Serena Williams believes that Rafa is in danger. She shares her thought process as she recalls the conditions of their previous match.
