Roger Federer is currently in London preparing for the Laver Cup, which is just two days away. Before the start of the Laver Cup, Federer recently talked about his plans for his last tournament. According to his latest statement, Federer teased a possible reunion with his arch-rival and friend Rafael Nadal.

In the latest interview, 20-time Grand Slam champion, Roger Federer said, Maybe I can play doubles with Rafa, that would be an absolute dream.

After hearing this news, a fan tweeted, “I’ll give anything God wants for this to happen.”

One fan on Twitter wrote, Maybe” no no no, YOU WILL AND MUST PLAY WITH RAFA.

Another fan joked about Federer carrying Nadal in the doubles match.

It is worth noting that Federer will most likely miss the singles matches due to his current physical condition. Hence, he has the chance to showcase his tennis in the doubles for the last time at Laver Cup 2022.

Federer had a great practice session with Stefanos Tsitsipas at Laver Cup 2022

Earlier, Federer landed in London and had a good hitting session with the Greek star Stefanos Tsitsipas. After their practice session, they took quite a few selfies with each other.

Notably, Novak Djokovic, Rafael Nadal, Andy Murray, Casper Ruud, and others will soon join Federer and Tsitsipas, as they will represent Team Europe. On the other hand, Taylor Fritz, Frances Tiafoe, Felix Auger-Aliassime, and others will represent Team World.

Since the inception of the Laver Cup, Team World has never beaten Team Europe. So it will be a grand farewell for Federer if leaves the tennis court while holding the Laver Cup Trophy.
