Australian superstar of tennis, Nick Kyrgios is all set to play his first match in this Year’s Australian Open on Tuesday. Earlier, he had to pull out of the Sydney Tennis Classic tournament after testing positive for Covid. However, the Australian was hopeful that he would make it to the Grand Slam as he was feeling much better despite the Covid.

Nick Kyrgios is ready to bring his fashion game to the Australian Open
In a recent interview, Nick Kyrgios talked about his on-court tennis gear in the past. Nick also mentioned that if he gets the opportunity, he will wear his own gear.
Nick said, “I used to wear a lot of headbands… but I kind of can’t play with anything on my head these days… but I think, if I had my way on court I would wear some pretty cool stuff.
“Tennis needs new fans… they’ve had the same fans for decades now…. They need fans to turn on the TV that have never watched tennis before and be like ‘wow,’ look what that guy is wearing or look at how he’s playing the game. I think that’s what it needs.” Kyrgios further added.

The Australian also talked about playing Roger Federer again with a different sort of clothing. Nick thinks Federer looks classy, and that’s why he needs to look different playing opposite of the Swiss Maestro.

“If I played Federer again, I would love to choose my own wardrobe. When people watching on TV, like Federer, you already know that he’s clean cut, he’s very classy and then you’d have me on the other side of the net… I’d be wearing things that are a little bit more different,” Nick said about playing Federer.

The Australian didn’t play any warm-up tournaments before the Australian Open because of Covid. However, he is fully recovered before the Australian Open and is all set to play Liam Broady in the British qualifier on Tuesday.
Nick always brings the entertainment factor to any tournament he plays and he will have the full support of the crowd. It will be interesting to see if he can use the crowd support and go far in the tournament.
