Nevertheless, the tennis star got separated from his first wife just after two years after getting married. He is now happily married to a tennis legend, Steffi Graf. The American tennis star had a successful career. He has won eight Grand Slam titles throughout his career and had changed the face of the sport.
Andre Agassi wanted a decoy groom for his own marriage
The former world number one got married to a famous Hollywood actress back in the year 1997 when having paparazzi around an actor was common. He, being a tennis star, had never seen anything like this.
In his autobiography, Open the tennis legend wrote about how they had a decoy bride for Shields, just to throw away the paparazzi off the scene and have a getaway of their own. Seeing his own wife’s lookalike the former world number one had a thought that he wrote, “I have a thought no man should have on his wedding day: I wish I were leaving too. I wish I had a decoy groom to take my place.”

However, before the wedding, the tennis star didn’t give a lot of attention to the decoy bride’s plan. But after then regretted that he should also have one to take his place too.
Agassi was feeling nervous throughout his wedding
The American tennis star felt anxious about getting married. In his book, the 52-year-old wrote about how he was sweating badly throughout the wedding ceremony. And he explained that he was dripping sweat and even his shoes were squishing while walking. Although he thought everyone around him was feeling hot and sweating. But what he was going through was a totally different thing. Funnier, his tuxedo was also a reason that made the scenario hotter than it was already.

However, his then-wife supported the tennis star and said it was okay and he doesn’t have to be weary about it. But unfortunately, they were not able to keep up their marriage and got divorced in 1999.
