Is Jannik Sinner being unfairly targeted, or is there more to his doping saga than meets the eye?

What happens when a star player like Jannik Sinner fails in two drug tests consecutively? A major controversy follows! However, the Italian comes forward, barring his soul in front of the media with a heart-wrenching admission. As he opened up, thickening the tension around the incident, the fraternity stood on the edge, questioning the true story behind closed doors. Following the player’s raw confession, a mystery unfolds, transitioning Sinner’s journey into a captivating drama that is yet to conclude.

Before the US Open, Sinner spoke about his failures in anti-doping tests and how it impacted him more, given his ATP number one rank. The question referred to the fact he was not suspended for a long time after he failed the test, whereas players like Simona Halep suffered majorly because of such incidents. Now, Sinner cleared the confusion, stating how every player needs to go through the same process after they test positive for any banned substance. However, the Italian star player further dropped a significant reason for other players’ suspensions.

I know sometimes the frustration of other players obviously. But maybe because they got suspended is they didn’t know exactly where it comes from, also what substance, but the main reason is where it comes from and how it entered in his system,” Sinner said. He mentioned that one plus point of their situation was how quickly they identified Clostebol’s entry into his system.

That is why his team directly notified the ATP and accepted the suspension for two to three days. “I couldn’t practice and everything. But they accepted it very, very fast, and that’s why,” Sinner concluded.

Sinner was found with 121 pg/ml and 122 pg/ml Clostebol in his blood in the two drug tests where he failed. Per Sinner’s team, the substance was transmitted through his physiotherapist Giacomo Naldi, who used a spray containing the substance after his finger got cut. Naldi carelessly messaged Sinner with bare hands, and it entered the Italian player’s body.
