It is the Olympics that we are talking about. After having won almost everything in his entire life, there is one thing that he still could not lay his hands on, the Olympic gold medal. Novak is desperate to add an Olympic medal to his tally.
He made his first Olympic appearance at the Beijing Olympics where he won a bronze medal. A bronze in his debut Olympic games would sound no less than a dream to Novak. However, since then, his dream hasn’t been fulfilled. In the 2020 Tokyo Olympics, he suffered a shocking loss at the hands of Alex Zverev. Talking about his recent Olympic loss to Alexander Zverev he said that he played really well but don’t know how the result did not go in his favor.
“An Olympic medal, especially gold, is always a big wish,” Djokovic told Radio Television of Serbia in an interview. “I rewound my match with Zverev in Tokyo many times, trying to figure out what went wrong,” he said. “I played superbly up to that point, but I did feel I was running on fumes, both mentally and physically.”
Eleven years ago, at 2012 Olympics Opening Ceremony, Novak Djokovic was chosen to be a Serbian flagbearer. One of the biggest honors in every sportsman career.
Today, it's also a year before 2024 Olympics tournament in Paris kicks off!

Will Novak Djokovic be able to fulfil his dream in Paris?
The Olympics will be held next year in Paris. This could probably be his last as well as he will be 36 by the time he will be playing next year. Thus, this could well be his final chance to obtain glory and land a gold medal for his country. However, the road to gold would not be easy as the likes of Carlos Alcaraz, Stefanos Tsitsipas and many others would be a major roadblock.
Also, the Spanish legend Rafael Nadal could also make a comeback at the Olympics as he suggested that next year could be his final year as a professional tennis player. Thus, it would be a tough task for him. However given his stature, he would not want to quit without giving a fight.
