When Shelton talked about his serving mindset
After setting a US Open record with a 147-mph bomb, the 21-year-old American player left the tennis world in awe with his stunning serving skills. After the record in a press conference of the tournament itself, he talked about his fluidity in the service game. With that, he also mentioned how he is more calm and relaxed during his own service games as he has been working on his serve lately.
He stated, “I think it’s a little more mental. Obviously the mental affects the physical. For me, it’s getting into a state where I feel fluid in my service games, like just the rhythm of how I’m walking up to the line.” Along with that, he also highlighted that it’s the flow of the game that gets the serving rhythm right for him.
