Federer and Nadal at The Rafa Nadal Academy
Rafael Nadal’s Academy is an initiative to get the best out of young talents. It’s famous for young players who one day want to see themselves at the top level. Toni Nadal is the head of the academy and works to improve the overall quality of the institution. The academy has undertaken new initiatives that help the players improve every small weakness in their game. Fellow ‘Big 3’ champion, Roger Federer, has shown his support for the academy.

Roger Federer supports the Academy initiative
Federer has been vocal about his support for Nadal’s initiative for a while, even stating that he would like to send his children there. Recently, Roger stated, “Trust is key in this project. I trust Rafa.”
The academy focuses on all aspects of growth in the academy, believing that psychological improvement is equally important in order to cope with pressure. Nadal had stated that “we cannot put technology aside” about the implementation of their new 360 tool. The tool helps in monitoring all the academy players by measuring their performances during the season.

The Spaniard’s project officially began in 2016 and since then, has seen some promising players come out. Toni Nadal has himself overseen a majority of the work in the academy. The academy’s focus is on a holistic development with sport and education going hand in hand. Rafa himself frequently visits the academy and checks on the progress.

The academy uses promising techniques that help budding players to grow in the world of tennis. The project’s work for the overall betterment of the players have been a calculated and helpful way to help the academy graduates. Hopefully, the Academy can produce a Grand Slam champion soon.
