The news of Elon Musk taking over Twitter has derived a lot of reactions throughout the world. Some have been in favor of it and others have been against it. Many famous personalities too have presented their views. One of them is the American tennis player Reilly Opelka who has conveyed his views on the matter.
The player made his point clear on an issue. The reporter, Ben Rothenberg, accused Novak Djokovic of his aggression on court. Reilly Opelka retorted to this, which started the chain of events.

Ben Rothenberg is a reporter who made a claim on Novak Djokovic‘s on-court outbursts. Reilly Opelka shared that by pointing out that he should not make such accusations and showed his discontent towards the lack of consequences of such acts. Furthermore, a tweet pointed out Reilly Opelka and stated, “That’s rich, You’re all excited about Elon buying Twitter so people can say whatever they want, yet you want this guys credential canceled lol.”
To this, Opelka replied, “Not true at all, I am distraught that Elon bought Twitter, as I stand strongly against free speech. I am 100% pro censorship.”

This chain of events eventually led to Opelka making his take clear on the acquisition of Twitter by Elon.
However, the acquisition has its admirers too. Alexis Ohanian, Reddit’s founder and husband of Serena Williams, applauded the step. Moreover, Elon Musk has signed a deal with Twitter and has promised free speech through Twitter.

Buzzing Opelka on the court
On the tennis front, Reilly Opelka left his mark in 2022 by winning the ATP Houston by defeating John Isner in the finals. He will now be playing Bavarian International.
