ATP tour’s bad boy, Nick Kyrgios, was once fined for making an inappropriate action with a water bottle on the tennis court. Yes, you read it right. Although several years have passed since this controversial incident, the 27-year-old tennis player talked about the same.

The Wimbledon finalist regularly pays hefty amounts in fines to the ATP Tour or other regulatory bodies for his controversial antics on the tennis courts. However, back in 2018, the Australian tennis player made a highly inappropriate gesture that shocked the tennis world.

The current world number 19 is out of the professional circuit for now because of a knee surgery that took place last month. Thus, he made an appearance on the Impaulsive podcast, where he joined the host and other famous stars like Logan Paul to discuss his bad boy image on the tennis court. During the podcast, he talked about his infamous 15 thousand-dollar fine, which was levied on him because of a ‘fun’ incident.

He said, “Well, there’s some footage of me like I was at this really prestigious tournament. And I pretended to j*rk off with a water bottle. I got fined fifteen thousand dollars. It’s bad for tennis.”

When the incident took place, the Australian tennis player was competing at the Queen’s Club Championship, where he made his way to the final four. Since the not-so-infamous incident, the tennis star has been fine continuously for different things on the tennis court. Following last year, the Wimbledon finalist cleared his take on paying fines continuously on the professional tour.

Kyrgios views on paying continuous fines 

The 27-year-old tennis star is quite relaxed about paying fines as a part of his contribution to the tennis world. According to Kyrgios, he isn’t flustered about paying hefty fines as it straight away goes to charity.

Not only that, the bad boy of tennis once opened up about how every time he is fined, the ATP officials inform him that the money he is paying will be donated. Further, in a funny way, he also shared his reaction that he has no idea why they keep on informing him about it.
