Fernando Verdasco, a veteran compatriot of Rafael Nadal, recently got a provisional ban of two months after he tested positive for a banned substance because of ADHD medication. However, American tennis player Reilly Opelka has some different views about the issue. He is of the opinion that why did not a lot of tennis players take medications when they were young.
Consequently, he continued to focus on how it was still a performance-enhancing medicine.

However, fans have pointed out that ADHD remained highly undiagnosed because of various reasons and that prevented a lot of them from getting those medicines prescribed when they were young.

He questioned the intention of the Spanish player in taking ADHD-diagnosed medicine containing methylphenidate.

Furthermore, he also made it clear that he considers the usage of such substances as doping intentionally, as it works as a performance-enhancing substance.

2009 Australian semi-finalist who reached his career-best ranking of world no. 9 is currently a world no. 125. He tested positive for the banned substance in an ATP Challenger tournament in Rio de Janeiro.

The International Tennis Integrity Agency announced that the Spanish player has accepted his provisional two-month ban after he tested positive for the banned substance.
However, it also acknowledged that the player took the substance inadvertently because of his ADHD medication. And the main issue was that he had forgotten to renew his Therapeutic Usage Exemption (TUE).

Some fans have raised this issue. The player was aware of the medicines he was taking and still he took the medication.
