Tennis is generally considered a sport where the crowd is calm and collected. When the game is in play, even the slightest noise can get a fan thrown out of the venue. The majority of the tennis players won’t even play a point until and unless there’s pin-drop silence in the stadium. However, Frances Tiafoe is not someone who loves that particular aspect of the sport. In his recent match in the ATP clay-court event in Houston, he heard the buzz of the crowd and loved it.
Not all fan interactions in a match are enjoyable. There have been many instances when the members of the audience have gone overboard and made a ruckus. But that wasn’t the case in Houston.

So far, Tiafoe is performing well in the U.S. Men’s Clay Court Championship. He is in the semifinal and has a high possibility of landing a spot in the final. So far, he is yet to drop a set which makes him a favorite. However, Tiafoe is happy for more than one reason. In his match, Tiafoe said that he loved hearing the crowd talk about several things in their lives.
The comments were shared by Blair Henley on Twitter. She wrote a caption to the tweet that said Tiafoe could hear the crowd clinking their champagne glasses and making dinner plans, and he loved it. Henley said that Tiafoe loves the crowd buzz and thinks there should be more of it on the tour.

Not all tennis fans’ reactions are appealing
In a tennis event in Napoli last year, some members of the crowd were a little less than respectful. A group in a match vehemently booed and disrupted an ongoing match. Their reaction came after some bad calls were made by the umpire. They were promptly removed from the venues, and fans of tennis worldwide were angered at the behavior of the group.
