Rafael Nadal is no stranger to terrible injuries. He has had to go off the tour for lengthy periods of time in his career to deal with them and often missed out on several tournaments in the process. While he has had some phenomenal form so far this year, he suffered yet another injury at the semi-finals in Indian Wells.

Just before his return at the Mubadala World Tennis Championships in Dubai last year, he was off the circuit for almost six months, dealing with a foot injury. And now, after winning 3 titles and recording a 20-match winning streak, it has been revealed that he will again be out of the circuit for at least 4-6 weeks.
Rafael Nadal has stabbing plain in his semifinal match
In the much-anticipated semifinals at the Indian Wells 2022, against Carlos Alcaraz, Nadal had to call the physio on court. Even though he managed to power through the match by winning it in three sets, he again seemed to have the same issue at the final match as well.
In the post-match interview, he said, “I had pain. Honestly, it’s tough to as I said, I had problems to breathe because I don’t know if it’s something on the rib. I am not sure yet but when I am breathing and when I am breathing it’s like a needle all the time inside here. I get dizzy little bit because it’s painful.”
