Hubert Hurkacz has displayed some astonishing performances this year. With winning two ATP titles this season, Hurkacz has already stunned everyone. Moreover, he also made his debut at the 2021 Nitto ATP Finals. At the mega-event, Hurkacz’s coach, Craig Boynton, opened up on his progress in the last couple of years.
When asked to speak on how far Hurkacz wants to go, the coach said they are concentrating on the process rather than reaching a certain landmark. Notably, the coach gives the example of Novak Djokovic to explain his point. The Polish professional player reached his career-high ranking of World No. 9 on November 8, 2021.

Hubert Hurkacz’s coach impressed by Novak Djokovic
Since Indian Wells 2019, Hubert Hurkacz is associated with Craig Boynton. Under the leadership of Boyton, Hurkacz has gained 4 ATP singles titles and 2 ATP doubles titles. Just recently, at the ATP Finals, the coach opened up on the development of Hurkacz and answered many intriguing questions.
While answering questions on reaching a certain landmark point, the coach said, ” We don’t really talk about ‘X because what drives ‘X? What drives ‘X is execution. What drives ‘X is being prepared mentally. How much are you willing to follow the game plan? ‘X’ is the car and we’re talking about the gas.”
Boynton clearly stated his concepts and vision. Moreover, he also praised the impact of Novak Djokovic on the tour. He continued, ” I’d rather focus more on what makes the car go than the car actually going. The car just doesn’t arbitrarily go unless it’s Novak. He has so many reps and it’s just so second nature to him. Everybody else isn’t really there yet.”
Boynton particularly gives Novak Djokovic‘s example to make everyone understand. It seems like even the American is impressed withWorld No. 1.

Hurkacz at Nitto ATP Finals
Despite performing on the highest level for the last couple of months, Hubert Hurkacz failed to win a match in the ATP Finals. In his opening match against Daniil Medvedev, the Pole surprisingly took away the first set against the Russian. However, he couldn’t continue to dominate, as Medvedev won the match.
In his consecutive matches against Jannik Sinner and Alexander Zverev, Hurkacz fell short and handed over an easy straight-set victory. Apart from this tournament, the Pole has achieved remarkable accomplishments in the year 2021.
