The first grand slam of the year is set to return with a bang. The Australian Open will return on 14th January for its 112th edition. There are various ways in which fans can enjoy the tournament. While most will watch it from the comfort of their homes, many tennis fans will come out to witness the action unfold before their eyes.

The tickets for the tournament are live and can be purchased through Ticket Master right now. Tickets for the qualifying rounds start from $6.75 for adults. Ground passes can also be purchased for the main draws for $40, but they don’t allow access to the arenas. Ground passes for the dates of 22nd – 28th January can be bought for $67. Melbourne Park is divided into three areas, which house the John Cairn, Margaret Court, and Rod Laver Arena.

John Cairn Arena only houses day sessions, and the tickets start from $47 and go all the way up to $94. The prices are the same from 14th January to 17th January. Prices differ from 18th January to 22nd January. The most expensive ticket in John Cairn Arena costs $188 on 20th January, with the lowest being $26 on 22nd January.

The tickets for the Margaret Court arena vary just as much. Prices for a day session on 14th January start from $45 and go close to $210 for the following days. From 20th January, prices of the tickets change drastically. The cheapest tickets cost $75 and go all the way up to $415 for the weekend. On the 22nd, the tickets are significantly less pricey and cost $117 at most.

Tickets in the Rod Laver arena also vary depending on the day of the tournament. Rod Laver matches take place in the day and the evening, starting from $37 to $262 for the day sessions and going up to $269 for the evening session. For week 1, the most expensive tickets are for the evening session on 20th January. They cost from $86 to $586.

Week 2 will hold all the final stages. The Women’s semifinal tickets cost between $86 and $512. Men’s semifinals will be held in the morning and the evening. The tickets for these bouts start at $113 and go all the way up to $877. Tickets for women’s finals cost between $134 and $1281. For men’s finals, tickets cost $134 and end at $2697.

The tournament is back with a bang. While it is one of the biggest sporting events in the world, even the Australian Open is not free immune from inflation. The tournament has been struck by the worsening economic situation of the world, and fans will have to fork over more than they did last year for the tickets.
