Ever since teaming up with the 40-year-old coach Vagnozzi in 2022, Sinner has made major improvements to his on-court game, as he has now reached the top 5 rankings. Even at the ongoing Grand Slam in Melbourne, Jannik Sinner has made a deep run in the tournament. But the 22-year-old has now been given the biggest task in the sport, as he will square off against the 24-time singles Grand Slam champion.

Speaking about his Serbian opponent, Sinner’s coach Vagnozzi said, “Novak is an example, an extraordinary champion, he always has been. This winter we tried to put a bit of Djokovic in Jannik, starting with tactics. Nole always plays chess during the match, he knows where to hit each shot and which every blow will provoke a counter-move.”
