World No.1 Novak Djokovic recently lifted the Rolex Paris Masters 2021 title. The Serbian legend defeated World No.2 and defending champion, Daniil Medvedev, in the finals in three sets to conquer the trophy. The final scoreline of the match was 4-6, 6-3, 6-3.
Unfortunately for the Russian, he was unable to build on his momentum after the first set victory. Medvedev, after the first set, looked set to repeat the upset of the US Open final in Paris. However, there was a moment during the match where Daniil got frustrated with a disturbing spectator.

Daniil Medvedev admits that the fans who screamed during the match distracted him
In the post-match press conference, Medvedev highlighted that the fans who were shouting during the match really distracted him. Even though he didn’t blame them for losing the point, he clearly stated that they were somewhere responsible for him losing his momentum.
Daniil Medvedev is REALLY mad at the fan who shouted during his service motion.
"This was done when I did the toss already, it was done by Serbian spectator. All I said about him on the changeover, I mean it & I can say it one more time. I hope he doesn't watch tennis anymore." pic.twitter.com/DD9HuF9W5m

“Basically, yeah, what happened is at 4-2, advantage Novak, or 30-40, just before I hit the serve, so you cannot really stop the motion, somebody scream something…I’m not going to be here saying I lost the point because of this, but it distracts you,” said Medvedev.
Medvedev seemed really mad at a spectator who screamed loudly during his service. It is because of this reason that he hinted that he exchanged some words with him during the changeover.
“So, yeah, I got mad because crucial, crucial moment, 5-2 for him, double break, even if I manage to get the break back, we all know that against Novak it’s tough to actually come back from this score,” added the World No.2 player.

“Hope he doesn’t watch tennis anymore”- Medvedev on the spectator who frustrated him during the match
In the same response, Medvedev further said that he got mad and angry because that spectator distracted him deliberately. He even reflected that there were some fans who were not there to enjoy the sport but to divert the attention of the players.
“I got mad, yeah, because it was not nice, and it was done on purpose. Some of the spectators, they were just into the match and you could feel it. You’re getting ready for serve, they were like, Allez, Novak, or Allez, Daniil. But you could feel it was like they are just trying not to be in the game, and you wait,” continued the Russian.

Medvedev pointed out that it was a Serbian spectator who yelled at him when he was about to serve. Thus, during the changeover, he told something to him, and later emphasized that he really hopes that he doesn’t watch tennis anymore.
“This one was done, when I did the toss already, it was done by Serbian spectator. All I said about him on the changeover, I mean it and I can say it one more time, and I hope he doesn’t watch tennis anymore,” concluded Medvedev.
