Andre Agassi and Brooke Shields’ marriage went downhill almost immediately. While the eight-time Gand slam champion was dealing with temper issues, Shields had her own problems. Both have given a variety of reasons as to why things didn’t work out between them. However, it wasn’t all bad.

They were in love and helped each other in some crucial moments. The aptest example of this is the time when the actress was trying to break ties with her mother and Agassi stood by her and helped her find her way out of that situation.
How Andre Agassi helped Brooke Shields
Recently, while speaking in a podcast with Julianna Margulies, she shared the details of the entire event. After accepting that her relationship with Teri Shields had reached a level that required therapy, she said, “I was lucky enough in my first marriage. He helped me separate from my mother. Financially and logistically”
Thereafter, the 57-year-old confessed, “I wouldn’t have been able to do it without him. And he did it with love. He helped me do it with love.” The former world no.1 and Sheilds tied the knot in the year 1997 and, after facing some rough patches, decided to part ways.

They broke their union in the year 1999 and moved on in their lives. Agassi found his soulmate in fellow tennis professional and 22 times Grand Slam champion Steffi Graf. Similarly, the ‘Pretty Baby’ actress exchanged vows with American screenwriter and producer Chris Henchy in 2001. They now have two children together and, like Agassi and Graf, are going strong as ever.
How Agassi’s life panned out
The four times Australian Open champion, after retiring in the year 2006, took up the role of a coach. He at first collaborated with the 21-time Grand Slam champion Novak Djokovic and post a year-long partnership with the Serb, he joined Grigor Dimitrov’s team.

He guided the Bulgarian until the year 2020 and currently is taking a break from the role. Further, the 52-year-old also started the Andre Agassi Charitable Foundation post his retirement. The organization raises funds for the education and protection of at-risk children in Nevada.
