Novak Djokovic has made a big name for himself. The Serbian legend, who still manages to shut the critics, has won a total of 23 grand slams and is still hungry for more. However, in a recent revelation, it came out that while the whole world is supporting Novak Djokovic for the wonders he has done; it is his organization that pulls its hands away.

That being said, Djokovic is not the only example to have suffered the discrimination that the world sees. But what is it all about and why is there no support for Djokovic?

Novak Djokovic does not receive any support from the local federation

In a recent revelation, Natalija Stevanovic, a 29-year-old Serbian tennis player, shed light on the current situation going on against Novak Djokovic. She revealed that the Serbian tennis federation does not take into account the local players and does not help them to reach the top of their game.

“I’m always very sorry to say that the Federation doesn’t get any, any big part in that because when you say Djokovic, he’s pushed everything so he can become what he became. That’s why sometimes he’s envy of Serbian Federation. Now it’s Novak’s Tennis Federation, but still, it doesn’t go the way he wants at the moment, because he’s still playing and really, he had sponsors from America since a young age. revealed Stevanovic in the podcast.

“He was with IMG. So again, not a real project from Serbia. Also, Ivanovic. Again, she started poorly in Serbia, but then again, with some sponsors from outside, she became a player.”

She revealed that even though he has done enough for the sport; he does not get much recognition. That is one of the main reasons why Djoker is very envious of the Serbian Federation. However, after getting involved in the tennis fed, he still could not make many decisions as he still is a professional player.

In the podcast, she also revealed that since the player did not have any local support, he had to work with IMG during the early phase of his career.

IMG announced a partnership with Novak Djokovic in the year 2012. After the partnership, the company would have access to the areas of marketing, endorsements, appearances, and licensing over a multi-year period.

Thus, the issue with the Serbian federation is a significant thing to be dealt with. With some of the top names coming on from the ranks, they would have to rethink about how to make things better so that they can produce young fighters.
