After an eventful quarterfinal game against Holger Rune, the 23-year-old will lock horns with Croatian tennis star Marin Cilic. Interestingly, it will be the first French Open semifinal for both players. Notably, Ruud will go into the game riding on his nine-match winning streak. Also, the 33-year-old Croatian beat Andrey Rublev in a five-set long game to make it through to the semifinal.
Even though Cilic is a seasoned campaigner, the youngster can not be taken lightly as he is in brilliant form. The Norwegian recently defended his Geneva Open title and now he has won seven out of his eight ATP titles on clay.
