In the post-match interview with Tennis Channel, she answered some intriguing questions. When asked about her dream-hitting partner in the desert, she said,” That’s a tough one. I’d say I’d love to play with Andy Murray. So, we actually had a little chat on Twitter. So, maybe it’s gonna be possible right now to finally play. He seems like such a nice guy. Good sense of humor.”
Before this year’s French Open, Swiatek had some great sessions with the 20-time Grand Slam champion and her childhood idol, Rafael Nadal. Nadal has withdrawn from this competition as he is recovering from his foot injury. Considering Nadal’s absence, Swiatek chose Andy Murray as her dream-hitting partner at Indian Wells.

Andy Murray advances to the second round
The former World No.1 also got off to a solid start at Indian Wells. In his opening round encounter, Murray defeated Adrian Mannarino of France 6-3, 6-2 to book his place in the second round.
However, his second-round opponent is Carlos Alcaraz of Spain. Alcaraz has been in incredible form for the last couple of months. Though he had an unfortunate end to his US Open campaign, he played some extraordinary tennis at the competition. It’ll be intriguing to see the veteran go up against the 18-year-old in the second round.
