The Danish tennis player has already stunned the entire tennis realm by outclassing the 36-year-old tennis legend twice in the past eight months. Speaking about his encounters with the world No. 1 ranked player, the 20-year-old recently made a blunt confession about him.

Ahead of his campaign at the Wimbledon Championships, the currently ranked world No. 6 player was recently featured in an interview with dailymail.co.uk. During his conversation, Holger Rune talked about his past encounters with the 36-year-old tennis legend who he defeated in the previous season’s  ATP Tour Masters 1000 event in Paris and at the recently concluded Italian Open.

Rune added, “It’s complicated just because he can do everything, and simple because you know at the start of the match that you are getting nothing, and that there is never any point in just hoping he makes mistakes, you have to win every point.”

The Danish tennis star’s stellar all-around game and combative attitude against some of the best players in the men’s circuit have helped him to reach the top echelons in the sport. While talking about his spell-binding game, the 20-year-old player also revealed how he managed to beat the Serb.

Rune also revealed his secret sauce of outshining Djokovic

The currently ranked world No. 6 player stunned the fans by defeating Djokovic at the recently concluded Italian Open, where the Serb holds a particularly incredible record. Now, Rune has finally opened up about his strategy for outclassing the reigning French Open champion.

During the interview, the 20-year-old tennis star revealed how he tried to attack Djokovic after getting him outside of his comfort zone on the court. Apart from this, Rune also said that he had to formulate a particular strategy for facing his opponent’s returns that were coming straight back at his feet.
