Carlos Alcaraz might not have won the Nitto 2023 ATP Finals, but he surely stole the hearts of the whole tennis fraternity. This is more evident when the former ATP star, Mansour Bahrami, complimented him by comparing him to legends like Federer, Nadal, and Djokovic. But there is also a twist to that! Despite praising Alcaraz, the former Iranian tennis star mentioned the attributes that make the ‘Big Three’ stand apart from the rest, and how it is almost impossible for anyone to emulate them.

Mansour Bahrami is one of the most renowned names in the tennis circuit, mostly because of his energetic presence on the invitational tour, lighting up charity matches with his showmanship. In one of his recent interviews, Bahrami opened up on how he believes that youngsters like Sinner, Rune, and Alcaraz are not far away from snatching the world’s number-one position from Djokovic. But he also revealed the areas in which they might struggle when compared to the ‘Big Three’.

Carlos Alcaraz’s impressive performances on the tour have impressed the former tennis star from Iran. Recently, Bahrami made a surprising comment about the young generation of tennis prodigies, led by the impressive Carlos Alcaraz.

Bahrami said, during his interview with DH Sports, “When Djokovic is gone, Alcaraz, Medvedev, Rune and Tsitsipas will have more room to win Grand Slams. But never as much as Federer, Nadal or Djokovic. I like Alcaraz, I like the tennis of Sinner and Tsitsipas. I like watching them. Rune is a bit provocative. He’s a kid who’s not afraid of anything. I am convinced that Alcaraz will dominate the tennis of tomorrow. He’s the future big star. But I don’t think he will reach 20 Grand Slams. He is not at the level of Nadal, Federer and Djokovic.”

Bahrami further added compliments, especially for Alcaraz, pointing him as the next star of global tennis. In Bahrami’s words- “If there’s one player who can match the members of the Big 3, it’s him.”

Now it is just not Bahrami, who has such thoughts about Alcaraz or Rune or Sinner. Even Djokovic revealed that he believes in the capability of these young tennis stars.
