Guy Forget hails Rafael Nadal as the greatest athlete ever

In the interview, while commenting on Nadal’s prowess, the 57-year-old said that Nadal is an all-time great. Further, he said that not only in tennis but in sports overall, he is the best athlete, greater than even Muhammad Ali, Pele, and Michael Jordan.

“For me, Rafael Nadal has achieved the greatest feat in the entire history of sport. Period. He is above Ali, Pelé or Jordan,” Guy Forget said.

To strengthen his claim, the 57-year-old explained how difficult it is to win a French Open trophy and Nadal has done it 14 times. He recalled the time when people used to say that no one can go past Pete Sampras’ record, but the Spaniard surprised everyone.

“A champion who is able to win 14 times the toughest tournament on the planet, the most difficult thing that exists, there are not any. We said when Borg won Roland-Garros six times, it’s monstrous. No one will do better. Sampras has won 14 Grand Slam titles. Nadal has won Roland-Garros 14 times. It’s unimaginable.” He added.
