Novak Djokovic has been an inspiration to millions of people across the globe. Only recently, the Sabanov brothers (Matej and Ivan) from Serbia hailed Djokovic for providing with all the motivation and support they needed. The brothers also discussed the massive opportunity Djokovic has provided them to represent Serbia.

Notably, Team Serbia has been awarded a wild card entry ahead of the Davis Cup 2021. Moreover, Djokovic has confirmed his participation at the main event of the Davis Cup.

Sabanov brothers can’t thank Novak Djokovic enough

The World No. 1, Novak Djokovic has assisted a lot of tennis players at his academy in Belgrade. Just recently, the Sabanov brothers, namely Matej Sabanov and Ivan Sabanov from Croatia opened up on how Djokovic gave them the opportunity to play for Serbia. As a result, the brothers have decided to change their citizenship from Croatia to Serbia.

In an interview, they quoted, “Novak gave us everything. He has always been our role model and the person we admire throughout our careers. Every piece of his advice is extremely valuable for our careers and we are very honored to have the opportunity to learn from such a tennis player.”

In addition, the boys are grateful to Djokovic for offering the greatest training circumstances at his academy. Djokovic’s compassionate act suggests that, in combination with being the GOAT, he is also a kind human being.

Team Serbia ready for Davis Cup 2021

Notably, along with France, Team Serbia has been awarded a wild card entry at Davis Cup 2021. This 18-team showdown will see Novak Djokovic, Filip Krajinovic, Dusan Lajovic, Laslo Djere and Miomir Kecmanovic as the Serbian team’s nominations.

Furthermore, talking about their performances at Davis Cup, Team Serbia has lifted the trophy in 2010. Additionally, in 2013, they were the runner-ups to the champions in Czech Republic. Also, Novak Djokovic is an impressive 34-10 in the prestigious tournament and his leadership has the potential to give Serbia another title.
