Recently, the Australian tennis coach, in a press conference just before the China Open, talked about how the 7th-ranked tennis player’s desire to win something has impressed him immensely. Along with that, the renowned ATP coach also revealed how both of them share a competitive and friendly bond at the same time.
Cahill stated that whenever they play anything outside of tennis, like go-karts, the 2023 Wimbledon finalist has a determination to win badly. He said, “I think at times he’s more concerned with taking five Euros off me than he is about winning a $20,000 paycheque. He cares more about five Euros, winning it off me, and takes great satisfaction when he sees me taking it out of the wallet to give it to him as well.”
Further, he also joked about how he is more concerned about winning money from his coach than the big paycheck he receives after playing tennis tournaments. While the 22-year-old tennis player’s determination to reach the top 10 ATP rankings was quite evident this year, it won’t be wrong to say that winning on and off the tennis court is something he cherishes the most.
Nevertheless, this is not the first time a tennis coach has talked about the Italian tennis player’s determination. Even after impressing Novak Djokovic with his tennis skills during Wimbledon, his other coach, Simone Vagnozzi, recently shared some statements supporting his tennis desire.

The former Italian player said, “You’ll get 20 euros if you do it on the first try, and 15 euros if you do it on the second try.” Well, Sinner, being competitive, won the challenge given in the first round, getting ready to take on tennis challenges at the China Open.
