Former tennis star Andre Agassi is one of the most recognizable names in the sport, mainly due to his achievements on the tour. The eight-time Grand Slam champion is equally popular for his off-court relationships, with the most famous one being his marriage to the German tennis great Steffi Graf. While Agassi and Graf have been more or less the perfect couple for more than two decades, the American legend’s first marriage with actress Brooke Shields was anything but that.

Last year the actress opened up about her troubled marriage with the former tennis star. She also accused the American of blaming her for his losses. Here’s what she said.
Brooke Shields opens up on her relationship with Andre Agassi
Andre Agassi and Shields were together from 1997 to 1999 before parting ways. In an interview last year, Shields recalled how Agassi would behave after losing a match. “He alienated me when he lost and was on to the next tournament after he won,” she said.
Shields further added, “Somehow I was made to feel it was my fault. I’d get the silent treatment or a projection of disdain that cut to my core. Sometimes he would not even look at me or speak to me when he lost, but instead became even more isolated. In the past, he had been more open, but he was changing drastically.”
After separating from Shields, Agassi married Graf in 2001. The couple has two kids now. Shields also moved on soon and married film producer and screenwriter Chris Henchy in 2001. They have two daughters together.
