World No.2 Daniil Medvedev got off to a great start at the Indian Wells Masters 2021. The Russian defeated Mackenzie McDonald in straight sets in the first-round of the tournament. The final scoreline of the match was 6-4, 6-2.

Daniil Medvedev maintained a win percentage of 83% on his first serve. Interestingly, his second serve win percentage didn’t drop much either as it was 81% during the match.

Daniil Medvedev tries his hands at golf

Recently, Medvedev tried his luck with golf and posted a video of him playing the sport. In the video, one can see him walking with a golf stick and trying to hit the ball within the hole. Even though he looked casual, he actually missed the target and wrote that he really needs to work on his golf game in the caption.

“Going to have to work on my golf game,” tweeted Medvedev.

A couple of other tennis superstars like Rafael Nadal also have quite an immense interest in golf. It is because of this reason that many fans are claiming that the Russian is emulating Rafa’s style.

When Rafael Nadal participated in a golf tournament

After deciding to skip the US Open 2021, Nadal participated at the Balearic Mid-Amateur golf championship 2021. Intriguingly, he plays the sport quite well and thus, began as the top-seeded player there.

Rafa finished at the sixth spot when the golf tournament ended. While it took him 79 strokes to complete the first round, the Spaniard managed to improve his performance in the following rounds.

As far as tennis is concerned, Rafael Nadal has already ended his 2021 season with immediate effect. He is currently recovering from a foot injury and fans hope that he will get well soon. Will he be able to feature at the Australian Open 2022?
