Why will Wimbledon potentially lose multi-million dollars?

With requests from top players like Murray and Djokovic coming up to reschedule future matches at Wimbledon, the tournament fears losing millions of dollars as rebates to TV companies. Due to Wimbledon’s 11 PM curfew, matches cannot go till late into the night. Former World Number One, Djokovic, believed the matches here should start at midday.

The schedule of the matches is fixed with the TV companies in their contract and any attempt to change it can invite rebates in the form of millions of dollars. Thus, Wimbledon chiefs are set to reject Murray and Djokovic’s pleas.
Novak Djokovic unaffected by chaotic schedule
The 23-time Grand Slam champion has taken off from where he left last year. In 2022, the Serb defeated Nick Kyrgios in the summit clash to lift the Wimbledon trophy. Continuing his blazing form this year, Djokovic has reached the semifinals of the tournament.
