Everyone knows you need a good serve to dominate a service game. For that, you need a good height. Reilly Opelka has been blessed with that quite a bit. He and John Isner are the only players who stand out when it comes to using their height as an advantage during their service games.
During the post-match interview, a question about Opelka’s height was unavoidable. The media asked him what it’s like to go through life as such a tall man and how it affects him.

Opelka replied, “Yeah, the only fun side is hitting an ace on a big point. Yeah, it’s something I’ve learned to live with. I don’t know anything else, to be honest. Don’t really remember, because I got tall pretty early. I was 15, 16, and maybe even 14, and I was already over 6 feet. It’s not like I know any other way. If I woke up like this, then I’d be a lot more, I’d have more negative comments to tell you about it.”

On the other hand, Reilly, currently the 22nd seeded player in the tournament, will look to gain points to help him break into the top 20. In his latest match, he defeated Lorenzo Musetti in straight sets. Hence, he will face Nikoloz Basilashvili in the third round of the US Open.
