The tennis community can’t keep quiet, as the clay court has started with the Grand Prix Hassan II, which is an annual tournament on the men’s tour. Now that the initial round fixtures have been concluded, the stage is set for some blockbuster round of 16 matchups featuring the likes of the 3-time singles Grand Slam champion, Stan Wawrinka, the current British No. 2, Daniel Evans, and the Belgian tennis star, David Goffin.

The Grand Prix Hassan II, which is a part of the ATP Tour 250 series, is played on outdoor clay courts in Marrakesh, Morocco. As some of the biggest names on the men’s circuit will now be competing for a place in the quarterfinals, let’s check out the order of play on the Center Court.

Daniel Evans vs Roberto Carballes Baena

Entering the clay court tournament as the third seed, Daniel Evans will start his campaign by squaring off against the former number 49 player, Roberto Carballes Baena. The Spanish tennis player, who is an unseeded participant, was recently awarded a walkover after his Italian opponent, Matteo Gigante, picked up an injury in the second set when he was trailing 2-6, 0-2.

David Goffin vs Nicolas Moreno De Alboran

The second game on Center Court will feature two qualifier participants, David Goffin and Nicolas Moreno De Alboran. After his qualifying round wins, the Belgian tennis star recently outclassed the Frenchman, Arthur Rinderknech, in straight sets. The American player, on the other hand, pulled off an upset against the 5th seed, Facundo Diaz Acosta, in the round of 32.

Mariano Navone vs Stan Wawrinka

In another exciting round-of-16 match, the seventh-seeded Mariano Navone faces a tough test in Marrakech as he comes up against the 3-time singles Grand Slam champion, Stan Wawrinka.

The Argentine tennis player started his campaign by defeating this unseeded opponent, Aziz Dougaz, with a score of 6-3, 6-2. Wawrinka, on the other hand, prevailed in a straight-set game against the Spaniard, Albert Ramos-Vinolas.

Aleksandar Vukic vs Sebastian Ofner

On Center Court, the second-seeded Sebastian Ofner continues his quest for his first ATP title as he takes on Aleksandar Vukic in Marrakech. The unseeded Australian tennis player recently secured a place in the round of 16 after his straight-set win against Alexandre Müller.
