After his detention at a government immigration center in Melbourne, Novak Djokovic is at risk of banishment. Furthermore, Australian Prime Minister Scott Morrison himself took a staunch stance against Djokovic.

Bearing in mind the rising cases of coronavirus in the country, many Australians are in favor of this move by their border forces. On the other hand, athletes the world over are not quite supportive of it.

NBA Star Nikola Vucevic, star center of the Chicago Bulls, tweeted how ridiculous the situation was. “This has got to be a joke,” he wrote.

ITF star Arina Rodionova took offense with the border forces and gave a humorous take on their decision, likening the whole situation to that of a reality TV show. She said that she’s “pretty excited for the next episode.”
