“It’s another chance to prove myself,” began Fritz. “I keep making third rounds and I keep having extremely tough opponents in the third round. But that’s what happens when you’re a 25-32 seed.
“You are guaranteed to play a top-eight player and you know I’ve got, this is my third year in a row in the third round here at Australian Open and my third round opponents have been Roger, Dominic, and now Novak.”
Even though Fritz realizes that it’ll be a tough match against Djoker, he looks well prepared for it. He has faced Roger Federer and Dominic Thiem in the 3rd rounds of the Australian Open in the past and seems ready for this big match as well.
