The world number 17 after winning his second round against Juncheng Shang, during the Press Conference talked about 22-time Grand Slam Champion’s recent form and what his thoughts were when he saw his fellow countryman defeat the world number two ranked tennis player.
The tennis player shared what he said to the 27-year-old tennis player after his victory against the Spaniard. He said, “I told Mackey, Listen, you could join the three amigos, you know: me, Fritz, and Tommy. We all got him. I don’t know if you want to join it.”

Additionally, Tiafoe also talked about how life-changing his win against the former world number can be.
He said, “GOAT wins don’t come easy. Something to tell his grandkids one day, and you have to be happy for that guy. But, you know, selfishly, yes, I would have loved that matchup again because beating him in New York that day definitely changed my life.”
