Nadal emphasized the significance of numbers and statistics in making his assessment. He acknowledged that Djokovic’s remarkable achievements, including a staggering number of titles, surpass his own, leaving no room for debate. In an era where GOAT discussions have ignited passionate debates among fans and experts, Nadal’s admission adds a new layer of clarity to the ongoing rivalry among the ‘Big Three’ in tennis.

“I believe that numbers are numbers & statistics are statistics. In that sense, I think he has better numbers than mine & that is indisputable. I don’t drop any rings nor do I have an ego big enough to try to disguise a reality. This is the truth. The rest are tastes, inspiration, and sensations that one or the other may transmit to you, that you may like one or the other more. I think that with respect to titles, Djokovic is the best in history & there is nothing to discuss in that,” said Rafael Nadal while dethroning himself from the crown.

Thus, Rafael Nadal has joined the debate while acknowledging that Novak Djokovic has surpassed the titles and achievements to claim the top spot. However, he is not the only one who thinks this way. A long-time admirer of Roger Federer, Chris Evert, also sparked her opinion on the same while claiming that Novak Djokovic deserves respect for what he has done for the sport.
