Swiss Maestro Roger Federer, who announced his retirement from the sport days before the start of Laver Cup, decided to team up with dear rival Rafael Nadal for one last time to end his career on a high. While the duo lost their match to Jack Sock and Frances Tiafoe of team World, Federer received the best farewell as Nadal, Djokovic, and others got emotional as the Swiss star delivered his final speech.

One of the planned celebrations during Federer’s final match was British singer and song-writer Ellie Goulding’s performance. The singer went on to pay homage to Roger with her voice as the latter went around the stadium to meet colleagues and family.

Couple of days after her performance, Ellie Goulding dropped a tweet thanking Federer and the Laver Cup for having her at the O2 stadium.

While everything was smooth in her message, Ellie made a blunder by writing Lava Cup instead of Laver Cup and fans on Twitter had a gala time pointing out the same to the British singer.

Coming to the final day of the Laver Cup, Team World has bounced back in an emphatic fashion as they bagged three crucial points by winning the first match. Just when team Europe were expecting Novak Djokovic to resurrect their dominance, the Serbian icon couldn’t get past an in-form Felix Auger-Aliassime.
Djokovic‘s unexpected defeat puts team Europe in the back seat as they will now have to win the next two matches to have any chance of winning a fifth Laver Cup crown.
