‘Frustration’ Grips Carlos Alcaraz as He Opens Up on an Uncharacteristic Moment During Pulsating Novak Djokovic Encounter in Turin

The match against Novak Djokovic during the ATP 2023 tournament didn’t go well for Carlos Alcaraz. While he tried his best to defeat the world’s number-one tennis player, the luck didn’t go well for him. This was genuinely visible in Alcaraz’s reaction when he threw his racquet at the end of the second set of the match. Not only that but this introverted tennis star was visible in a disagreement with his coach Juan Carlos as well. Now finally Alcaraz broke his silence on what happened to him that day!

He has won twelve ATP Singles titles already with the 2022 US Open and the 2023 Grand Slam. This surely gave him high hopes against Djokovic. Alcaraz reveals the reason behind his unfamiliar behavior after losing against Djokovic

2023 might have started well for Carlos Alcaraz as he won the title of 2023 Grand Slam but ultimately he couldn’t make it to the Nitto ATP 2023 Finals. While he made a tough fight, the spectators spotted a visible frustration in Alcaraz’s reaction. After losing the second set of the game, Alcaraz threw his racquet and made gestures towards his coach at the box.

While asking about this in a press conference, Alcaraz said- “it was an unbelievable point. I would say I couldn’t play better this point. Even that, I lost it. It’s a little bit frustration for me to play my best tennis in that point. Even that, I lost it.” 

Alcaraz further revealed that his coach Juan Carlos asked him to remain mentally strong, which didn’t work well with him. He mentioned how he needed to work on that. However, this twenty-year-old tennis star was frustrated. It was seen particularly when he couldn’t manage perfect first shots after taking advice from Juan Carlos.

He said- “just serve and had a mistake during the first shot for me was a pity. For me was really, really tough to deal with.”  Now fans would understand because Djokovic is truly not a mere opponent to compete with!

How Alcaraz was defeated by Djokovic during a Nitto ATP 2023 match?

The match between Novak Djokovic and Carlos Alcaraz was a truly exciting one. This is because the former bagged this year’s Grand Slam and the latter mesmerized the fans with his unbelievable performance during the ATP 2023 Tournament. In the beginning, Alcaraz started a swift journey towards victory by breaking Djokovic’s opening service in the first set.
